9th Life Car Rescue is primarily a Southeastern Saskatchewan T.N.R. (Trap/Neuter/Return) Organization
What is TNR?
TNR, or Trap/Neuter/Return, is a humane method to manage and reduce feral cat populations. At 9th Life Cat Rescue, we focus on trapping feral cats, spaying or neutering them, and then returning them to their original environment. This process helps improve their quality of life while preventing future litters.
Why is TNR important?
TNR is crucial for maintaining a balanced ecosystem and reducing the number of homeless cats. By controlling the feral population, we can decrease the strain on local shelters, improve community health, and promote better living conditions for the cats themselves.

Our Services
Comprehensive support for feral cats and community awareness.
Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR)
We implement TNR programs to humanely manage and reduce the feral cat population, allowing these cats to live out their lives in their familiar environment while preventing future litters. By neutering and vaccinating these animals, we are affording them a better, healthier life than they would otherwise have.
Community Education
We provide educational resources to the community about the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership, promoting long-term solutions for managing feral cat populations. We plan to offer construction plans for heated winter cat houses, outdoor catios and many other support ideas. Do you have an idea of your own? Please let us know as well.
Emergency Rescue
In addition to TNR, we offer emergency rescue services for injured or ill feral cats, ensuring they receive the medical attention they need to recover and thrive. By neutering the males and spaying the females we dramatically reduce the cat fighting and the resulting injuries obtained through the fighting. Having said all that, if you see an injured feral cat please let us know right away so that we can get a live trap set up and get medical care for the cat.

Donation Support
Your generous donations enable us to continue our vital work. Funds go directly towards medical care, food, and supplies for the cats we care for. Every dollar makes a difference in providing a better life for these animals. Our Board of Directors are all volunteers and receive no stipend for their tireless hours and efforts.

Help us raise awareness about feral cat issues in your community. Share our message, host local events, or simply talk to your friends and family about the importance of TNR and responsible pet ownership to foster a more compassionate environment for these cats.

Harry Cat - Pioneering the Libre Disk
Meet Harry - the FIRST EVER cat to receive the Libre Disk for diabetes. Until Harry, diabetes in cats was previously treated with insulin injections every 12 hours. With the pioneering assistance of Harry, cats can now receive the Libre Disk, which is changed once a week and allows the cat to live a relatively normal long life.
The Turner Project - 2024
During our latest TNR initiative, we successfully rescued and spayed/neutered more than 30 cats from the 'Turner' colony. This crucial effort has led to a notable reduction in kitten births and enhanced the health of the adult cats, enabling them to enjoy fuller, more fulfilling lives.
B.C. Transport Initiatives
Our most recent B.C. Transport expedition has led to the successful rehoming of numerous cats, providing them with loving families. We continue to strive for more adoption opportunities in our community and others to ensure no cat is left in need.
The Flats Project
Our most recent project is the three cats living outside the Seniour's Residence in Stoughton. The cats were provided with heated winter housing this winter and heated water and food. We are not able to trap and neuter cats during the winter due to the recovering process so we were forced to wait until spring and now we believe the cats are pregnant. They are scheduled for surgery May 2nd and we desperately need donations to help cover three surgeries, three sets of vaccinations, parasite control and antibiotics. We are already working on foster homes for these cats but the vet costs are still not covered.
