DARCEY BERKOWSKI - PRESIDENT, DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
JANE MULLEN - VICE-PRESIDENT, WEBSITE, FUNDRAISING
I started my "animal career" in 1976 at an SPCA where I worked for 10 years. Over the course of the next 30+ years I worked at Woodbine Race Track, private horse stables, my own farm (chickens, ducks, geese, goats, sheep, 2 cows (no thanks!) & in 1999 got involved in rescueing & bringing an endandered breed of Canadian horse back from the brink of extintion. I also served in several position of the Board of Directors for another livestock rescue organization for 10 years. In 2003, I started breeding, showing and competing dogs. Since moving to Saskatchewan in 2014, I had to give up the horses (passed that torch along to someone else) and now just work with my dogs and 9th Life Cat Rescue. Animals are in my blood and I couldn't live without them.
CHLOE SHERRING - TREASURER
I met Darcey while working at the Stoughton Co-Op gas station. While working there I helped him do a rescue. Darcey approached me to help in the position of treasurer as my current position for a large Manitoba Contruction company has me handling money and doing payroll which offers the experience for this position. Schmoo (pictured) in my foster kitty and I can not describe how grateful I am for all the assistance I have received for his care. I continue to support the rescue in any way I can.
GRETE HANSEN - ADMINISTRATOR
CODEN NIKBAKHT - INCORPORATION, LEGAL ADVISE
I am pleased to enter into a partnership committed to community initiatives and supporting the mission of 9th Life Cat Rescue and the vial work undertaken by the Organization. We look forward to assisting the Organization in achieving its objectives and ensuring its legal and operational foundation is robust and sustainable. NIKBAKHT LAW
JACOBA HENDERSON - SOCIAL MEDIA
I am part of the media team. I met Darcey through my work at the Coop C-Store in Stoughton and began to talk about my love for animals and sports. I am a big animal lover and will do anything to help them. I have my own cat named Pepperika. He is 13 years old and my best friend. I've always grown up with animals. My first cat was 18 yrs old when he passed. In Fillmore, they call me the Cat Whisperer as I can get a stray's trust. I'm glad to be part of this team and hope to be helpful.
